Charcoal Portrait of Mickey the Cat - From Start to Finish

Sarah commissioned me to draw a charcoal portrait of Mickey the cat for her partner Tom after he sadly died at the grand age of 23.
He was a great animal to draw as there is just so much character and expression in his little face. He took about eight hours to complete.
I drew him as a medium sized portrait and Sarah asked me to finish him off with a textured off-white mount. Tom was delighted with the finished piece.

I just wanted to let you know that Tom LOVES Mickey. Everyone is so impressed with how accurate he is and how his character comes through.
